Connecting Non-Owned Profiles
When you connect profile pages to Traject Social you are first directed to the social platform where you get a chance to give Traject Social the necessary permissions to gain access to your administered profiles.
When you acknowledge the requested permissions you are taken back and the list of Profiles, Pages and Groups you are admin of will show from the list.
If you want to add a page you are not an admin of, select the network and click Competitor profiles or pages:
Once you click Connect Non-Owned Page, Group or Profile, you can select the type of profile you want to add:
At this point, you can simply add the non-owned profile you would like to be added to your dashboard.
Once added, the profile will be marked as Public Data Only and will have limited data available as compared to your admin profiles.
If You Own or Are an Admin of Account
There are a few possibilities why one of your accounts on the "Connected Profiles" shows "Public Data Only," even though you are an owner of the account, or an admin:
- Make sure that you are logged in with the correct Facebook personal account. Try this: go to Facebook, logout, go back to Traject Social, and try adding the Facebook page again, this time, making sure that you are logged in with the correct Facebook account
- It is possible that when you were authenticating for the first time, you have unchecked/removed certain permissions from what was asked. If so, login to Facebook, click Settings > Apps and remove Traject Social from this list. Then, go back to Traject Social and re-add your pages. You will be prompted for authentication one more time. Please make sure not to un-check any permissions this time.
- If you don't own this page - please make sure that you are still an admin. You may need to contact the page owner. You can also verify this under Facebook settings.
